Molecules, atoms, neutrons, protons, electrons, quarks, …God

It was about midday, 2nd of November 2006, when my wife sent me a link to an article in a Croatian paper about Mr. Zoran Ozimec who claimed that he found the cause of the Pioneer Anomaly. The article explained that Mr. Ozimec extended Newton’s theory of gravitation by discovering the link between the magnitude of the gravitational force and the subatomic composition of the masses in interaction. Hence, his and Newton’s formulas for gravitational force can differ up to 0.5%, which can mean a lot in the case of space travel trajectories. Mr. Ozimec also said that Einstein’s general theory of relativity will also have to be corrected, due to the fact that it uses Newton’s theory of gravity in its calculations.

I’ve immediately looked at his site, where he published some formulas and an example to support his claim, and I thought that if this is true (i.e. will stand up to the scientific scrutiny) it’s not just clever, it’s rather ingenious. I’ve congratulated him via email and he responded. Within few days we were deep into discussion and he was teaching me about this new stuff.

And then, when he was describing how the first particle is made by the action of two opposing forces, something clicked in my head and I remembered that I’ve read something very similar in Sri Yukteswar’s book The Holy Science. I’ve scanned the relevant pages and sent them to Zoran and he confirmed that Sutra 3 (in Chapter 1) is pretty much describing his new mathematical model.

I was over joyous when it became clear that finally science proved something with formulas, which religion expressed previously in words. Now, it was my turn to teach Zoran something, so we started discussing how are various physical concepts explained in Indian religious texts. In order to present these in a systematic and logical way, I’ve tried to summarize the cosmology as expounded by Kriya Yoga masters in the “Kriya Yoga Cosmology” article (was available on this site but is now superseded by the book Whence Do We Come?. Free PDF version of the second revision of the book is available here) .

During 2007, Zoran’s theory was scientifically checked and tested by an independent authority. During that time some assumptions were dropped (e.g. those described in the first paragraph above) but I believe that its main hypothesis, that the matter is a vibratory structure, stood up to all challenges. Of course, it still needs to be verified by the broader scientific community; but as it’s validity became more and more apparent, it confirmed to me the prophetic meaning of the following words of Paramhansa Yogananda: “Twentieth-century science is thus sounding like a page from the hoary Vedas. From science, then, if it must be so, let man learn the philosophic truth that there is no material universe; its wrap and woof is maya, illusion. Under analysis all its mirages of reality dissolve. As, one by one, the reassuring props of a physical cosmos crash beneath him, man dimly perceives his idolatrous reliance, his transgression of the Divine Command: ‘Thou shalt have no other gods before Me (Exodus 20:3).’” (from Yogananda’s book Autobiography of a Yogi).

It is the beginning of 2008 now, and Zoran is writing a paper about his research that will be published on his site (which will undergo a complete overhaul soon). I decided to use this space to publish my own view of the philosophical and religious background of his new theory, so here it is.

  1. I’m very interested in reading more on this topic, and was wondering when the http://www.zoran-ozimec.com/ site will be updated as mentioned in your article?

    Thanks :)

  2. Sorry Mavis, I can’t really answer your question (cause I’m not the owner nor webmaster of the mentioned site), but based on my last discussion with Zoran, it might take another week or so… ;-)

  3. Good news folks!

    Zoran has just published his new theory named “The Geometric Concept of Matter” on his site (http://www.zoran-ozimec.com/) :-)

  4. I really find this a interesting subject. Never looked over this subject in this manner. If you are going to create some more articles relating to this subject, I will return soon!

  5. I would like to thank all that sent me their best wishes and gave their nod for the content, however their comments did not make it onto this page because they were marked as spam by WordPress.

    Sorry folks, but as a rule, all these are deleted automatically, except in the case that they contain a genuine comment, question or I could use them to highlight a point that I want to make. In such cases I publish the comments but stripped of all hyperlinks.

  6. Howdy! Do you use Twitter? I’d like to follow you if that would be ok. I’m undoubtedly enjoying your blog and look forward to new updates.

    • Not at the moment. I find it difficult to find even time for this blog…

  7. Exhaustively frivolous and dissimulation with the end of life

    • Right, you are a realist? or just plain skeptic?

      I guess the only proper thing to do is to have a chat when it (life) ends and we both meet on the other side, … oh wait… if you are right, we won’t be able to meet, because we wouldn’t exist past this material life.

      However, if you are wrong, and there is something beyond this life, imagine your disappointment when you find out that the ticket to the choice destination after life is sought and bought during this life.

      Nevertheless, let’s imagine you are right, and let’s pretend that all believers are uneducated fools and are simply running after their own imagination. Still, they will have a better quality of life by the virtue of their own autosuggestion!

      So, I think your attitude is wrong no matter what awaits us beyond the portals of this life. Read more at:

  8. Proverbs 12:16 A fool’s wrath is presently known: but a prudent [man] covereth shame.

    • Nice. Wisdom is good, but it alone doesn’t guarantee salvation. Compare Solomon (who excelled in the beginning, but failed in the end; as he allowed other gods to be worshiped in the house of Israel) with his father David (who sinned in the beginning, but loved God and constantly cried for Him until the end of his days).

      Love for God and everything that is His (and, essentially, is Him) automatically includes wisdom (of how to behave properly). Not sure if we could say that vice versa (i.e. in reverse order) is equally true.

      Psalm 27:14
      Wait on the LORD;
      Be of good courage,
      And He shall strengthen your heart;
      Wait, I say, on the LORD!

      (“wait” = spend/invest time with God, build a relationship with Him, love Him and trust Him)

  9. Hi We’re so grateful I discovered your weblog About Science, Religion and Life I actually discovered you through accident, whilst I was looking upon Digg regarding something else entirely, Nonetheless I am here now plus I would certainly love to state kudos for the remarkable posting and a over-all entertaining web log Anyway my best prayers go with people in and around Tokyo we hope your are OK and comfortable too ?

    • I am well, and thank you for your prayers.
