Genesis according to John

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1:1-13)

Elsewhere I wrote how Word means intelligent vibration issuing from God and how God is essentially the Universal Substance that vibrates, and how everything is made of It and by It. In my book Whence Do We Come? I’ve expanded on this topic and wrote that Word, or the sound vibration, consists of many compression waves of various wavelengths, which compress and rarefy the underlying consciousness (God, the Universal Substance) thus creating “all things”. Hence space is made of the rarefied consciousness, while matter is made of the compressed consciousness.

Even though the primordial sound vibration (the Word, Aum) creates all things (the blueprint of creation), without the light of Christ Consciousness (God’s light) these things would be just ideas in God’s Mind (i.e. “without form and void” – see Genesis 1:2) – they wouldn’t have an objective existence. The light vibration (transverse waves of consciousness) is needed to give them the consciousness of separate existence – life (“and the life was the light of men”). Thus we might recognize the Holy Trinity as: the Universal Substance (God the Father), God’s light (Son) and the creative sound vibration (the Holy Ghost, the Word). While creation exists, one God manifests through the Holy Trinity, but when creation does not exist, only God (Spirit) exists.

God is everlasting, complete, without beginning or end; the one, indivisible Being.  This Being is the origin of all knowledge and love, the root of all power and joy. The result of His wish to create is this creation, which is existing within a relatively minute sphere of the Infinite. By design, all created things within this sphere (en masse called the “darkness”) are disconnected, by the flux, from the surrounding Oneness and cannot comprehend God or His light (“and the darkness comprehended it not“).

However, the darkness is influenced by God’s light, which acts as the external source of guidance and purpose. Jesus was this Light (i.e. the Christ Consciousness) and John came to “bear witness of that Light”. The smallest created things within the “darkness” are the individual particles of Spirit, the particles of dark matter. These little rotating waves of consciousness are spiritually magnetized by God’s light and in that process, as said above, in them appears the power of feeling, which is the consciousness of existence (life). By design, these separate units of Spirit, do not develop the consciousness of unity with It, but the consciousness of the separate existence or self, which is called the ego.

Also, God experimented with the strength of His light during the first few creation cycles (Days). Initially, the light was so strong that it didn’t allow particles to polarize, so only dark matter existed in the universe. As the Light was dimmed, different compartments of creation emerged; first the “layer” of dark energy and then, finally, the “layer” of gross matter (“and the world was made by him“). In metaphysics, dark matter (the domain of thoughts), dark energy (the domain of the intelligent energy) and gross matter are collectively named as matter.

Man is not matter, he is a soul, a ray of Spirit, a ray of God’s light. By connecting a particular soul with the particular individual particle of Spirit, God (Spirit) achieved the mechanism by which it is possible for a soul to experience its individual existence (i.e. this is achieved through the “experiencer”, the ego, which is essentially nothing but a reflection of the soul within the particle).

So,  essentially, soul is already a part of the bigger whole, the Light, and through the process of evolution (of consciousness) it is slowly awakening to this reality. Once it receives this revelation it will realize that it is already a son of God (“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God“). But the evolution doesn’t stop here. The purpose of the creation is to create perfect beings that will share the eternity with the Lord. The last stage of evolution is to merge back into the Cosmic Consciousness (God) and become one with the Spirit, like Jesus did (“I and my Father are one” – John 10:30).

Once man reaches this Goal of all life, and becomes the Knowledge and Love that he sought, he will still have a choice: to stay inactively enveloped in the never-ending, ever new Joy (God) or ride on Its waves back to show others the way. “Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out” (Revelation 3:12).
